From my personal collection - I've long been a huge fan of the Mai Kai restaurant. I've handled many of the Mara Amu mugs (the 'Jet Pilot' cocktail in the Mai Kai bar is served in this mug) and my estimation is that this mug is from a very early production run because the bottom isn't printed with the 'Mai Kai' and restaurant phone number, which came in later runs. This mug is also a bit taller than the later versions by about 1/4", for reasons unknown. Absolutely a Must-Have for any serious tiki mug collector, at a great entry price point for everyday use.
