Description: Macallan "Gran Reserva Eighteen Years Old" wood box for a 750ml bottle of the renowned Scotch Whisky, in very good condition. > Measures 13" by 4 1/8" tall by 3 7/8" wide > Weighs just over 1 lb. 2 oz. > Dovetail construction > 2 metal hinges and 2 metal clasps > Stamp-printed on lid "The Macallan / Gran Reserva Eighteen Years Old / Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky" > Stamp-printed on front "The Macallan Distillers Limited / Gran Reserva" > Label inside the lid, with "Distilled 1979 / Bottled 1997" > Original UPC label on bottom. Condition notes: > No cracks in the panels; No chips around edges and corners; Light wear at corners, and random marks around the box > Printing is strong with only a small break in two scroll lines (upper left area of lid); There are 2 wood knots under the lid printing (see picture) > Label inside lid is complete and secure > Bottle bin originally had 2 plastic holders (top and bottom) that have been removed > Lid has an oval stain to right side that appears to be from candle wax (see picture); we were able to remove much of it with a hair dryer > Lid is shifted slightly left, by about 1/32 inch (see pictures of box ends) > Hinges and clasps are secure and work fine; left hinge isn't fully inserted in the wood at one point (see picture) but since it works, we've left it alone. This is a rare box from a rare whisky (we understand only 1000 bottles were produced).
