If it is an inch or two larger please don’t assume you must go up to next price point- just message me and I’ll be happy to charge only a small fee so you don’t have to go up in size. I do hand guided free motion quilting on my Juki longarm. (With stitch regulator) . This service is for the quilting of a finished quilt top. I will also attach the binding and if the customer wishes hand stitch it down for an additional fee. If you wish for me to sew the binding please contact me and I will add that to the amount prices include one thread color. Batting and backing are NOT included in the cost of quilting. After receiving please allow approximately one week for quilting. If I am also adding binding and stitching it down it will be an additional few days. I will keep customer posted on the process. How to Prepare Your Quilt Top As you can imagine, the proper preparation and exact specifications are necessary to build your quilt exactly as you'd like it. Proper Quilt Preparation will save me time and you money. By following the preparation steps below, you can avoid time delays and add-on charges. The quilt top must be pressed and free of decoration such as buttons or beads. If it is not pressed you could have puckers and wrinkles in your top. Please understand I am not referring to wrinkles that may arise during shipping process. I will do a quick press before loading onto frame to remove any slight wrinkles due to shipping. All loose threads must be trimmed from the back of your quilt top. Loose threads can show through your quilt top and be seen through lighter fabrics. Repairs will not be made to quilt tops, so be sure that you have no loose seams, no holes or puckers in the top. Please NO Bed sheets Place a safety pin at the top of both the quilt and backing fabric. Square up backing fabric. Size your backing and batting a minimum of 8" larger than your quilt top on all four sides. Do not baste, pin, or tack your quilt together. Simply fold each piece. Be sure to remove all selvages when seaming your backing. Be aware that fullness and puckers, which have been pieced in, cannot be quilted Backing and Batting: Both the backing and batting need to be 8 inches longer and 8 inches wider than your quilt top. This allows for loading the quilt onto the frame. Backing needs to be 100% cotton If you do not want to send the batting and backing, I do have those items available. Just contact me prior to bidding and I will set up a private auction for you. . Please remember that a pressed, squared, flat quilt top is the perfect area for machine quilting. Also, please remember that a crooked, puckered, quilt top with unsewn seems will result in a poor quality finished product. I do take pictures of problem areas if any are seen prior to loading the quilt and contact you. I charge a flat rate amount of $10.00 to ship the quilt back to you.
