This set was purchased when first released by Lionel and includes the locomotive and 5 passenger cars. The passenger cars consist of a 3- car set and 2 add on cars that were sold separately. The total train consist is as follows: 1 beautifully detailed 2-8-4 Berkshire Locomotive with tender 1 Abandoned toy car 2 Polar Express passenger cars 1 Hot chocolate car 1 Observation car The locomotive features: -directional head light and reverse light -Full sound set with Tom Hanks voice recordings from the movie -Molded in details -matching Polar Express tender -Remote, Bluetooth, or DCC control Each passenger car features LED flicker free lighting and silhouettes. The observation car on this set features the realistic red LED on the rear of the train. This set was used very minimally and was really only ever displayed on a shelf. There are hardly any marks that would indicate this train was ever used. However, it could use some light and gentle cleaning to truly look brand new. Other than that, everything functions as it should. Please note that these locomotives from Lionel prefer straight and level track work. Otherwise, it may derail frequently.
