You can hear the sound of the waves crashing. When you turn the sound at the highest volume it does sound slightly raspy when the wave hits. The mirror is in good condition and has no cracks or chips but does have markings/scratches from years of use and moving. I attempted to get pictures of the mirror but it is hard with reflection. The rear of the picture is intact and solid but does also have wear from years of use and moving. Please see all pictures closely before purchasing.
