Description: Full of horses, not wild but owners not known, in very good condition, but minor soiling, Strong Photo mount, in excellent condition. Item 484598 ◊ Late 1800's - Large Turn of the Century Photograph, Lots of Horses Running Free A rare and original, "Late 1800's - Large Turn of the Century Photograph, Lots of Horses Running Free." The photo measures approx. 8-1/4" X 6" (20 cm X 14 cm.) It is partially mounted on a white, heavy cardstock mount. The winner of this auction might want to remount it. This is a fascinating photo, so full of horses, that it is almost impossible to draw any conclusions about why they are there. The are several smaller buildings and one large building in the background. The horses in the foreground have bridles, so we don't believe that they are wild. But whether or not they are privately owned, or own by the government for war purposes is unknown, since there is no attribution for the photo. Both the mount and photo are in very good condition. The photo does have some minor soiling, as does the mount. However the edges and corners are are all strong and in excellent condition.
