I could only find one other similarly bound version of this edition that's every sold at auction, and that appeared to be Kravitz's personal copy. There are two other copies available that are spiral bound. Basis of the translation later printed by Wesleyan University Press. I am guessing here, but this likely a small run of that original translation that Kravitz bound for himself? Blue boards. Gilt lettering. Decorated page edges. Illustrated with a map drawn by the artist. 4to. 416 pages. With two pages of errata laid in. Overall near fine condition. Bound by the Turul Bookbindery. I have recently acquired (January 2024) a large collection of many Jules Verne titles. I have personally collected his first editions for 20+ years and there are some unique and early editions available, including many I have not seen in dust jackets before.
