The shiny lacquered boards are thicker and the paper stock is much high quality. Condition: A structurally pleasing copy which has liquid damage affecting the rear of the dustwrapper, the top edge of the front board, and the extremities of the rear board. Dustwrapper also has some chipping with slight loss. Interior bright, clean and very sturdy. The book cannot have been read often. The photos are the best guide to condition. Context: A key title in the subgenre of lycanthropic fiction, the US edition quotes from glowing reviews the book received in England, including one which rates it almost as highly as Dracula.
