Jadeite Glass 1926 PONTIAC HOOD ORNAMENT RADIATOR CAP PAPERWEIGHT

Description: This is a beautiful jadeite green glass paperweight molded from an original 1926 Pontiac radiator cap hood ornament, their first year of production. This features the famous Pontiac Indian chief with his flowing feathered head bonnet, and has the word "Pontiac" on the back (beneath the feathers). It is marked with the triangle B logo for Bennett Glass, and the year 1981, perhaps when the mold was made. Bennett Glass, also known as Guernsey Glass, stopped production in the early 1980's. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, has roughness on top edge of feathers. Measures 3 1/4" high, 4" long, and 2 1/2" wide. Does not glow under blacklight, not yellow custard glass.
