Description: Used Islander dress watch, Isl-39. Stunning sunburst anthracite dial with a fluted bezel for an eye catching appearance. Dress up or dress down, it does not matter. The ISL-39 is the all around watch for you. The case is a very comfortable 38mm in diameter, and is a mere 11mm thick. Weighing in at 125 grams, it sits perfectly balanced on your wrist. Beating inside is a Miyota 9015 movement that ticks along at a smooth 8 times per second. A screwdown crown ensures 100 meters of water resistance. Applied baton markers are generously filled with C3 Super-LumiNova for easy night time viewing, and the simple stick hands are polished silver, also treated with C3. The date has been located at the 3:00 position, and has a partial lumed baton marker to help the dial retain symmetry, while also allowing a date function. Covering the dial is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the underside. I’ve owned and enjoyed this watch for 3 years, but am thinning down the collection. As I’ve got very large wrists and hands, watches under 40mm are the first to go. There is an aftermarket Islander six position clasp to allow better adjustment on the wrist.
