Description: Antique 19th century Italian iconic Gilt Arch Angel Gabriel, ornate gold gilt on carved wood, perhaps of the Angel Gabrielle, the feel of this piece is authentic.Rare Great Painting of the Arch Angel Gabriel on a Wood Panel in an ornate Gold Gilt Carved Gilt Wood Frame. The angel is painted in the manner of Fra Angelico, a Dominican Friar known for his religious artworks of the early Renaissance period. You can see and feel the paint strokes. I do feel this is authentic as the age of the frame and some of the nails do line up. There is not identifiable signatures. I am not really knowledgeable in this area so if anyone would like to let me know anything CONDITION: The pinnacles at top could be stabilized easily. One back leg has a little issue that needs to be noted but nothing from the front. It is exquisite and just so beautiful. The image itself is approx 7.2" x 3"inches. The overall size with the frame is approx 16" h x 5"w inches and it is approx 1.5.5in deepI have taken a LOT of pictures of this piece so as it can be identified easily. Overall it is in good condition with aged wear to the paint including some scratches and paint loss to the frame, PLEASE review all pictures and video. The condition for its age is remarkable. The gilding has some discoloration expected with age. Sold as is.
