Description: This one offers a Gilbert American Flyer S gauge #17B 190 watt transformer in good working and cosmetic condition. These transformers are awesome utility players for a layout. This is a nice example of the piece. Nice white paint on the raised numbers and the case will likely clean up a bit. The power cord is pliable and has been replaced. The circuit breaker works when tripped (and resets once the short is remedied). The dead-man's handle is an original. Both lights work at the right times. One is a green bulb and one is a red bulb. There aren't slots in the light cutouts for the lamp covers as manufactured. Both the volt and amp meters work fine and proportionately with throttle and load draw. This one does make a pretty noticeable buzzing sound when powered. Readings on the multimeter when testing the output: 18v fixed terminal: 16.95vVariable post at 0 throttle: 4.6v (handle down)Variable post at 0 throttle: .02v (handle up) Variable post at full throttle: 14.9v (handle down) TCA #97-45581.
