Description: Garcia Mitchell 308 Vintage Spinning Reel Made in France.Serial # 2726052 which according to an online search is from 1959 and a first edition.Serial numbers from 2282964-2959786 are 1959.The first 308's came out in 1959 and this serial number puts it at the last half of 1959.Reel is in very nice shape.Some light edge wear to bottom and a few small chips to paint.A couple chips to edges on reel seat.see up close photos.Could use a good cleaning to remove some oil smudges.All functions work and this reel runs smoothly with no wobble.Drag is strong, anti-reverse works and bail spring is strong.Just a very nice reel and super early in the 308 production years.Low starting bid for this rare piece of Mitchell history.
