Description: "Florence" is a Rolf Armstrong pin-up print featured on a 1982 Brown & Bigelow calendar salesman sample. The Art Deco calendar was produced as an advertising piece and features a 1937 calendar with events of historical significance and a brief history of 1937 printed behind the calendar pad. Rolf Armstrong (1889-1960) was one of America's finest creators of pin-up art. In 1960 the New York Times described him as "the creator of the calendar girl". "Florence" measures 18" x 27" in overall size. The image size is 12" x 12.25". It is in good condition, with a fold across the bottom of the image and some creases and wrinkles. The 1937 calendar pad is complete. Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960.
