Description: Can you believe the decade of the 1970's actually existed? Do you admit that to anyone other than yourself? This was the decade that had Norman Lear produce shows like "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman". It was a daytime soap opera... sort of. More of a quite provocative parody, but nonetheless also like actual soaps (Long arc, multiple main characters, etc.). Having just read through this book, sparking (fond?) memories, I'm going to have to find the show and see how well it holds up over time. (BTW, the show of that same decade, SOAP, really does hold up very well. We just binged the whole thing. Susan Harris, the lead writer, is one of the most brilliant talents the world has ever seen.) Back to our regularly scheduled sale... This book is full of 1970's fashion and frivolity, much of which most of us wish had stayed there. Fernwood, USA is an incredible capsule of the show, and is a very rare find. It is in like new condition, with its only flaw being some discoloration, mostly in the upper right of the front cover. The binding is tight and there are no marks or writing within. So, relive that period of your life you had almost forgotten about, or explore the depravity your parents experienced (whether they admit it or not). Oh, my... I just did some quick math... or perhaps your GRANDparents? (Ugh, I'm old). All our sales contribute a portion to charity. Everything ships fast, check our feedback (And our other listings, while you're at it). Thank you for shopping and happy bidding.
