A carefully crafted custom-made FSR model that combines popular specifications that were adopted during the transition period around 1966! This machine is an FSR (=FENDER SPECIAL RUN) model produced based on a special request from Ikebe Musical Instruments, and has excellent cost performance while incorporating unique characteristics within standard specifications. I ordered it as per the specifications. MADE IN JAPAN TRADITIONAL JAZZ BASS is manufactured based on the US body and neck design, and uses lightweight basswood for the body material. The pickguard material and color have also been rebuilt based on US product materials, and the classic 9.5 radius U-shaped maple neck is combined with vintage style frets to provide the playability unique to the TRADITIONAL series. In addition, the pickup, which is the key to the sound, uses ALNICO 5, giving it a closer to vintage sound. This FSR model has a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and block inlays on the fingerboard side, which is especially popular around 1966 as the wood composition and design changed from the 1960s to the 1970s. Combined with binding, the pegs are paddle pegs, also known as lollipops. Furthermore, by mounting the pickup fence, bridge fence, and finger rest, the look is reminiscent of a vintage custom shop design.
