The included slides have 3 specimens each and are large enough and durable enough for small hands to load and guide. Bindi Erwin is the voice and walks children through fun facts regarding each item on the slide. There is also a quiz game. The slides store in a small drawer that can be inserted into the base of the microscope. The drawer, however, does not lock into place, we used a rubber band to secure it when storing. This is not damage. This is a design flaw (we returned 2 previous versions thinking it was damaged). Great for homeschool or just fun educational learning. This item is preloved (a lot!) but still in great condition. Smoke free, pet free home.
