Description: This is a Don Hanson III, the sunfish man, custom 1 blade sunfish pattern or toenail pocketknife. Don made this one in mid 1990s and from what I can find out, he made only 3 of this small sunfish knife. I bought this knife from Don at the NKCA Knife Show in Springfield, Missouri back in the mid 1990s. Knife is 3 5/8" open, blade is 1 1/2" long and closed it is 2 1/8" long and handle is 11/16" wide. It has a single spear point blade of his hand forged Damascus, and the handle is also from Damascus steel. Blade has the sunfish stamp on the tang. The handle has jeweled file work all the way around. Mint condition and never sharpened or carried. Don has over a 5 year wait on his knife list.
