Description: Beautiful Connoisseur of Malvern, fine bone china Chickadee #036 from the Fledglings Of North America collection made exclusively for Neiman Marcus. Connoisseur Of Malvern was formed when Boehm began selling their own Porcelains made of the very fine English bone china. Diane Lewis previously with Royal Worcester was employed by Helen Boehm in 1971 as Manager of the new Boehm Of Malvern Studio later Ms. Lewis started her own company - Connoisseur Of Malvern, producing some of the finest bone china Porcelains in very small numbers. Unfortunately Ms. Lewis passed away in 2015 at just 77 years old. Connoisseur produced very fine pieces paying attention to lots of details not found elsewhere. Note the individually formed claws (see close-up 4/5) which were hand applied instead of being molded like so many others. Yes, he has all of his claws, Modelled by C.Ashenden, Fine Bone China, Made in England, created for Newman Marcus. The Chickadee measures approximately 4 1/2” tall by 3” wide and 3 1/2” deep and is in mint condition. Shipped USPS Priority Mail, tracked and insured.
