This is a real American made Conn Model 8D Professional French Horn. According to the serial number 220379 this horn was made in 1985 in Abilene, Texas. This beautiful instrument came to us in very good playing condition. There are many small dings and dents which would be normal for a horn this age. There's also evidence that two of the tuning slide tubes were re-soldered but sealing perfectly. (We checked over the horn and there are no leaks and the compression is excellent.) What a tone and what a response! The horn has been thoroughly serviced and cleaned. All valves and slides move freely. Now in perfect playing condition and ready to be played for many years to come. This Conn 8D is nickel plated with most of the plating still intact. String linkage on the 4th valve which is highly desired over a mechanical linkage. The Conn 8D is the state of the art in professional French horns! The original case is included and is in great condition, as well as a mouthpiece, rotor oil, and a maintanance kit.
