Description: This auction is for a vintage Whitman cardboard puzzle which is "A Picture Map Puzzle of the United States of America with Name the States Puzzler on Back." Most states consist of one puzzle piece with some of the smaller states in the east combined together into one piece. The back of the puzzle shows the outline of each state and challenges one to name the state based upon its size and shape (answers provided). Measuring approximately 11-1/2" by 14-3/8", this puzzle has a copyright date of 1968. The frame is in very good condition with some wear at the corners and edges as shown in the photo. All pieces are included, but Oklahoma has a bend at the panhandle and the western edge of Hawaii is starting to separate with a piece folded back as shown in the photo. Please refer to the photo for an assessment of the puzzle's condition as this is considered part of the item's description. From a nonsmoking, non-pet home.
