Dr. Showalter has been a long time advocate for patients and families coping with pain, chronic pain, loss, dying and bereavement. She proudly served with other first responders at the Pentagon during 9/11 and continues to work with those coping with chronic pain and sudden and traumatic loss. She is a keynote speaker and psychotherapist. Dr. Showalter is Native American and believes in many alternative methods to help with chronic pain. She is also the author of "Healing Heartaches: Stories of Loss and Life". AND John Argent is a full time caretaker and deals with those living with chronic pain and has dealt with his own chronic pain. He worked in emergency management and 911 for 12 years, was a volunteer firefighter and is a certified First Responder.
