Description: Camrose & Kross: Jacqueline Kennedy | Gold-plated over Sterling 925 | Simulated Pink Kunzite & Diamonds Crystal Ring | Sz6 Reproduction of the ring President Kennedy purchased as a Christmas gift for Mrs Kennedy in 1963. Main stone was Pink Kunzite (her favorite color); reproduced here in crystal. Surrounding the main stone are 20 white crystals (diamonds in the original), symbolizing the 10-years they were married, and the next 10-years to come. As the story goes, JFK had his secretary hide the ring in her desk, to prevent JBK from discovering it before Christmas (then him having to buy another gift). Mrs. Kennedy was given the ring after his assassination. Camrose & Kross did a fine reproduction of this ring; last photo (above) is of the original from the Sotheby's auction of JBK's estate in 1996. Camrose & Kross also made a matching pendant/necklace and stud pierced earrings to create a set. Like all C&K JBK pieces, you'll have to scour eBay and elsewhere, as the entire JBK line was discontinued in 2014. It takes months (sometimes years) to acquire the pieces to form a complete set, but it can be done (with enough patience). The pink stone changes color, depending on the light source. In some light it appears pale pink; in other light, a vibrant pink. In original blue steel box with certificate of authenticity & romance card. Size 6
