Description: CALCITE from Mercer County Workhouse Quarry, Moore, Hopewell Township, Mercer Co., New Jersey This is a dirty but large calcite from a rare locality. It has been cleaved on the bottom (as seen in the second photo with the cleaner appearance and unnatural rhombohedral shapes). It seems to very faintly fluoresce and phosphoresce red. It is from the Eric Stanchich and Ray Klinger collections. Please note that an object was used to stand the calcite up for the photos. Comes with labels.
