Description: About this item Here is a set of Buchan Thistleware small salt and pepper shakers that stand 3" tall. These pieces were manufactured in Portobello, Scotland in the 1940s through 1970s. Buchan is considered to be among the world’s finest stoneware. No two pieces are the same, as each piece is hand crafted and hand painted. These shakers are in very good condition, but with a couple blemishes. The pepper shaker has a small chip near the base, and the salt shaker has noticeable faint "lines" on one side, however they are not heavy cracks. The original red plugs are intact and in very good condition, also. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: - 3" tall x 2 1/8" diameter base x 1 1/8" diameter top - Plug opening is about 1/2" CONDITION: - excellent. No chips, cracks, crazing.
