Description: British Exactor missile vehicle with Spike NLOS missiles. Circa 2007 the British Army leased numerous M113 mounted Spike missile launchers from Israel for use as a precision counter-mortar weapon in Iraq. Generally considered a failure. The missiles were too fast, giving the operator insufficient time to manually guide them to their intended, and usually concealed targets. Britain makes no use of the M113, causing difficulty in maintenance and supply, and the M113 and its crews fared poorly in the extreme heat of Iraq. Later replaced with a truck mounted version for use in Afghanistan. 3d SLA printed from grey resin under license from V. Mifsud's design in 15mm scale for your favorite wargames.
