Description: For sale is a Bosch 88-way ECU receptacle. The items are used and were taken from service on a fully functional BMW. These connector systems were the OEM solution for the Motronic ECUs found in E30 & E36 models with M4x and M5x engines, and are still a popular connection system for a variety of motorsport ECU systems. The receptacle contains the male blade contacts. These were carefully removed from Motronic ECUs: all PCB pins are straight and easily install into the recommended footprint pattern. There are traces of residual solder on the pins, but it does not impact ease of assembly. This connector receptacle is very hard to come by, new or used. If you are planning an OEM-style Megasquirt, Speeduino or other aftermarket ECU conversion that will involve a custom adapter board, this is your solution if you want a high quality, OEM-style ECU connection! Specifically, if you have a car with an M4x or M5x engine and want to do a custom aftermarket ECU integration, this receptacle will allow you to retain your stock harness without the need to hack off the main connector! The diagrams in the listing images detail the terminal numbering as well as the PCB footprint specifications. There are small differences between the connectors, specifically in terms of the plastic terminal alignment piece, but the footprint diagrams are compatible with all of them.
