Description: Beliguim F N 1949 Bayonet & Scabbard - Matching Numbers This is the 1949 short (overall length in scabbard 14.5'') model for export. Egypt imported a lot of these in the 1950s. Has almost 9 '' double edge blade that was once parkerized but some of that finish is gone and shows some scabbard marks. Serial number is 54274 on one side of pommel, theres a matching number at top of scabbard throat. Other side pommel says 'S A 30' plus a tiny arsenal mark. One metal cut across top of pommel. Grips show handling marks but no deep cracks or gouges.Scabbard is undented&showing evidence of being an old repaint with some shiny metal showing through,especially on edges and balltip. this bayo has traces of light grease on both parts, scabbard& Bayonet.
