Description: Beattie Portronic Vintage Mass Portrait High Volume Camera w / Lens and Case. This is an interesting piece of kit — used to rapidly take up to 170 images of a very large group of individuals. Used for those classic 150/200 person School Graduation Pictures. Through the use of an electronic solenoid multiple shots are rapidly taken. The idea, of course, was to capture everyone smiling! The film is handled through a roll and moved as the shots are taken. It’s a big camera from the 1950s. I got this in Long Island from the original photographers/owner — last used he said and working. It’s about 13” tall and I have placed a tape measure in photos for your review. Made in Anaheim. California with a Wollensak (later purchased by 3M company) 162mm, f6.3 Raptar lens. Apertures go to f32. Very cool historical item used for super sized group photos; has an interesting parralex correction and other fascinating features. Comes with all the electronic cables and power supply cords — I guess it’s something of a museum piece. With all items shown including original case. The lens alone is a real work of art. Please see images regarding condition — no rust or corrosion; lens appears clear and mold free — Will box up in an 18 x 18 x 24 Carton 45 lbs. Thanks for looking!
