While the designer remains unidentified, the pattern bears a strong resemblance to Susie Cooper’s distinctive style. The underside of the jar is bears the Gray’s Pottery’s markings and the pattern number 8650. This rare piece epitomizes the vibrant and innovative spirit of the Art Deco period, capturing the essence of a bygone era. The hexagonal shape and abstract pattern reflect the bold geometric trends popular during the Jazz Age. Condition is generally very good as shown, with some minor enamel loss to the jar’s upper rim, some light age-related crazing and a tiny hairline to a corner of the cover, see the final 2 pictures Size: 14.5 cm high, 11 cm diam, weight 560g.
