I unplugged the iPod and left it on without running any apps and checked it periodically. The battery lasted for over 12 hours but the percentage reading didn't seem accurate. For example, it suddenly dropped from 100% to around 80%, then suddenly dropped to around 50% etc. I don't know how long the battery would last if it was running any apps. Please note that this is running the old iOS 12.5.7 so apps requiring a newer iOS cannot be installed.
