The collars are silver plated. These are in good condition. Note that these predate stainless steel - the steel of the knives is in good shape but needs some steel wool on occasion the keep it cle This set was probably manufactured in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s at lander Frary & Clark Aetna plate facility They are as nice at a picnic as they are on the dinner table
