Description: This is an old hardware store display and has been around for a long time. The number on the display is HF 3271. It is 19" tall and weighs about 8 lbs. It has the original patina and some wear & scuffs on the brass as well as on the display board from just being around for a century or so. The outer door is an antiqued brass & the inner door is shiney brass. The side mechanism is also solid brass. I have not attempted to take it apart and do not know what the inside looks like. It doesn't appear to have ever been taken apart by the way it looks. Please take note of the last 3 pics. The side of the display where the keys hang show a very faint shadow where the brass plate on the side may have originally hung. Also notice the small split in the brass neck ot the knob. I am guessing, because it is solid brass , that it may be from the early 1900's. Just a guess. It is brass all the way to the screws and functions pretty darn well for it's age. It has 2 keys. Great general store item!!!
