The drawers are all solid wood, no carboard, staples or presto-wood and the drawers are dove-tailed together. Brass handles. The roll top comes off for transport. The desk should last easily another 100 years. This antique, besides being quite useful, will be an impressive piece of art in your house. No key but all draws open without key.
