Description: Antique NEVEROUT Bicycle Lamp, Rose Mfg., Red Jewels, Motorcycle Lantern AS IS Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE BICYCLE LANTERN Wonderful antique bicycle oil lamp lantern accessory measuring about 9" tall, 5" wide and 4-1/2" deep. Featuring a glass lens, it is complete with sturdy handle, both thick red glass "jewels", adjustable knob marked NEVEROUT PAT'D., vented top, back and base, and mount bracket on one side - top bears raised advertising for the NEVEROUT INSULATED KEROSENE SAFETY LAMP Patented ROSE MFG. CO., PHILADELPHIA, USA. Condition is as shown - at some point in it's life, it was dropped, and no longer sits straight as shown. The door pin flange is broken so the glass panel can be removed without unlatching - the latch is still in place and once clicked over the flange and glass, it will stay in place for display. All glass panels are without chips, cracks, or damage. The base was designed to pull off the bottom for accessing the kerosene - there is a little slot through which the knob would slide so the base could be removed. Unfortunately, with the compression from dropping, I cannot remove the base, and am afraid to force it - I've tried to show this in my images. No rust, cracks, other other damage - finish is dull - think nickle over brass? Hoping someone can restore this or use it for parts - it has a cool look and would be a fun addition to any display!
