Description: From a neighbor's estate sale about 35 years ago. You can imagine my surprise when I opened the case to discover the train ticket inside! It is for travel from Memphis to Texarkana in 1902. The pebbled leather actually is in quite good condition - still soft and no cracks in the leather. You will see that the beveled mirror inside shows its age. But there are no chips or cracks. There is a soft protective frame around it. There is just the one pocket inside. No opening behind the mirror. Folded case is about 3 3/4" wide x 2 5/8". For lack of any knowledge about this wonderful old leather case, I am saying it is a gentlemen's calling card case. But it could have been used for other purposes. And perhaps it was also meant for a lady's use.
