From the first edition of a celebrated flower catalogue published by Robert Furber (1674-1756), a nurseryman from Kensington, then on the outskirts of London. Twelve Months of Flowers presented almost 400 different flowering species, grouped according to the month in which they flower. Furber contributed to the group's work and collaborated on a book that documented the newly plants discovered and their aged upon names. He also owned and operated a nursery in London's Kensington district from around 1700 until his death. Large sized and very decorative leaf – Month ‘September’. The frame measures: 23" H x 18" W x ⅝” inch deep (585 mm x 460 mm) There are a few small frame abrasions, normal for its very old age; with aged lightly damaged brown paper backing. This Old Antique Artwork is In Great vintage Condition! There is some minor wear & tear on the frame and very mild damage on the brown paper back-side of the framing due to its old age and storage. The actual artwork behind the protective glass is in Excellent Condition with very mild sign of age and discoloration! Shows a very mild wonderful age patina; this is what gives this piece original personality and character! There is no other visible damage I could find on this beautiful piece. No scratches or cracks on the front protective glass. All in absolutely wonderful condition for its age!
