Description: This is for a 1/9 Plate Size Civil War Era Ruby Red Ambrotype. It is of a young girl with nice bottle curls in a white off the shoulder dress. Her gold chain and charm is hand tinted in gold. She leans forward towards the camera. The image is quite crisp and clear. The Ambrotype is on ruby red glass. It is still sealed and in the original period leather case. The image is in excellent condition. There is a teeny tiny yellow spot on the inside of the cover glass. It is not on the image. It could easily be removed if the seal is broken and glass is cleaned. It also creates a teeny tiny black spot shadow in my pictures. The leather case is in excellent condition showing minor wear and a professionally restored hinge. Guaranteed original. See my other listings and feedback.
