Antique 18thC Gardner Russian Porcelain Floral Plate Porzellan Teller Russia

Description: For sale is a very rare porcelain plate made by the Gardner factory in the 18th century . With a mark I have only read about in books but never actually seen an example in real life. The plate is nicely hand painted with a floral arrangement in the center of a rose with three other flowers in the very typical fashion for Russian pieces of the time as well as three smaller flowers on the rim. The rim has a nice design to it with a brown trim to the edge. A very nice plate that one will not see again soon! Gardner was famous for these decorations and one even made it into a royal service - the Everyday Service. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.375 inches. It is in good display condition with some stacking marks, manufacturing flaws (black spots, an unglazed spot on the underside rim, etc.) and a restored area to the rim which has over spray which was scratched off in one spot - looks like it was meant to hide a hairline. Could be improved upon but displays fine as is and is certainly a rare example! A small foot ring chip and an almost chip which never came off the foot ring. The plate is marked underneath as shown.
