Description: Antique 18th to 19th Century Chinese Folding Eyeglass With Original Shark Skin Case . These are a beautiful example of very old Chinese bronze or brass with tortoise shell rimmed glasses and crystal lenses. One lens is out of the frame. All it needs is a drop of super glue to fix. I did not glue it in so the buyer could complain that they were fixed. To the age of the glasses they are in great shape. The rim also has a small chip in it. The glasses have a hinge in the middle of the temple so they could wrap around the head. The end of the temples have a round disk so they don't poke the head. The case is wooden with a gorgeous green shark skin covering. The case has its original silk cord tassel. It is a round wood ball with holes that the string poked in. The case has an interesting repair, there is a small metal rectangle reinforcement held with sewing thread. These are in the USA.
