Description: Here is this very beautiful early 20th century antique or vintage handmade solid 14 K yellow gold pendant that features a 22.5 mm x 17 mm irregular shaped white Opal with a modest color play of orange yellow blue and green and all shades in between and all of these colors sparkle when the pendant moves in the light . This is a thick and chunky Opal the closest I could find on a online gemstone calculator would be to compare it with a faceted pear-shaped and this Opal is considerably larger because of the shoulders and the constant 5 mm thickness throughout the whole gemstone so I am attributing a total carat weight of 9.0 cts but the actual weight is going to be considerably more because of this thick and chunky Opal . The diamond is a .17 ct VVS2 clarity H color full cut round brilliant diamond and both the opal and diamond are very securely bezel set in this and chunky setting with a large Bale that will hold up to a 4 mm chain comfortably and it is currently on a very sweet antique or vintage solid 14 K yellow gold 15 inch chain with a good sturdy spring clasp and it is marked 14 K on a small identification tag . Total weight 6.9 grams and the pendant itself measures 1 3/16 inches top to bottom. Please study the photos this is a one-of-a-kind very beautiful antique with only a couple of tiny microscopic surface scratches consistent with its age however the opal has no crazing and it is in excellent antique condition. . ...This item will be shipped priority mail immediately.
