I was initially inspired by a trip to Europe and by my UCLA courses in etching and childrens literature. Heres a timeline: 1975 1981: I designed a line of self-published stationery and note cards under the name, Daydream Graphics, Alice V. Scott. They were carried by a network of reps in the U.S. Im currently listing a few of these designs in my Etsy shop, AliceandCompanyArt. 1976 2001: An etching course at UCLA inspired me to pursue it fulltime. See my Complete List link showing my 220+ limited edition etching editions that are in hundreds of collections. I created Alices Alphabet in 1991 with individual etching initials and posters which I still carry. 2007 2009: I helped illustrate two books (by Angela Cartwright & Sarah Fishburn) entitled In This House and In This Garden. From 2009 until 2015 I took a long hiatus and moved a number of times for family reasons. Im now settled in Northern California near my daughters and their families. Ive had my site, www.aliceandcompany.net redesigned to keep up with changes and will continue to do so this year. Ive started to list older and newer work (gouache painting of Mission style imagery) in my Etsy shop, called AliceandCompanyArt.
