Description: I removed this tweeter (along with the 2nd tweeter from the other speaker) from a set of AR3a speakers. The other tweeter was completely dead (which is being sold in a separate eBay posting). This tweeter has been tested with a DMM and the ohm reading is around 1.6, but it does seem to fluctuate as high as 2.0 and as low as 1.0. I have read the ohm readings should be closer to 2.5. Not sure why the reading I get is fluctuating so much and why it is lower than the typical reading, could be the tweeter or the old $15 digital multimeter from Radio Shack that I am using! When I connect the tweeter wires directly to the speaker output from my receiver, the tweeter seems to work just fine. I’ve only played the tweeter connected this way at a low volume. Given the ohm readings is lower than what is typical, I am not comfortable saying this tweeter “works perfectly” and am not listing it for the typical fully-tested-works -great price. I have set what I believe is a reasonable price between a perfectly good working tweeter and one that is completely dead.
