Description: This Tylosaurus Dorsal Thoracic Vertebrae was excavated by us using a cast. This is one of the most anterior facing dorsal Vertebrae - close to the cervical vertebrae near the skull. The front view (posterior convex end) is in wonderful condition...just beautiful! The neural arch was cracked but I glued it back in place with CA glue. The anterior (convex end) had some deep voids that I prepped by layering paleo epoxy and putty, then dry brushing to color match. I will work to remove more matrix etc this wknd. 6 1/2" tall by 6" wide and centrum is over 4" deep front to back! See the photos as this is the exact item that you will receive. Perfect gift for an aspiring Paleontologist or Cretaceous Period Fossil Collector These are from the Cretaceous Period - The Cretaceous is defined as the period between 145.5 and 65.5 million years ago,* the last period of the Mesozoic Era, following the Jurassic North Texas Delta County Ozan Formation/Marlbrook Cretaceous Period age
