308, 30-06, 6.5 Creedmoore, 243, Push-Thru Base sizing Die

Description: These push-thru base sizing dies are modified Redding sizing dies They are especially useful on cases that have been fire in a semi-auto or full auto rifle and the base has expanded to where a normal die won't size it down enough any longer. It also works for cases that have been fired many times and the head is tight in the chamber. These dies are made for cartridges that are based on a .308 Winchester or .30-06 (.243, .260, 7mm-08, 358' .375 Raptor, .25-06, .270, etc) I've measured a number of new .308 cases (commercial and military) and found that most measure between .468" and .469" in diameter. at the head. The SAAMI specs at the rim are .470" -.010".I like using either Imperial Sizing Wax or pure lanolin as a lubricant. Just smear some on the bottom 1/2" of the case and use the included pusher to run it up through the die. Adjust die to get maximum leverage on the handle of the press. You do need a press that has a compound leverage system, like a RCBS Rockchucker, as in the pictures. I can make these dies for other cartridges as long as it doesn't have a belt or a rim.
