This “Made in Japan” Strat is uncommon outside of its country of origin, outfitted with a set of Fender’s American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups. Designed to pay homage to the golden era Pre-CBS Stratocaster, this Fender has a balanced, clear natural acoustic quality with a basswood body, maple neck and a slab rosewood fretboard. The factory-installed 57/62 single coils are the same pickups used in Fender's American Vintage line, featuring black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and staggered Alnico magnets. Via the five-way pickup selector switch, the bridge pickup has plenty of bounce and sparkle, the neck pickup is bold and round with a throaty cut, and the "in-between" positions on the five-way pickup selector switch deliver quintessential quack. Featherweight at 6lbs 10oz, this Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
