As one of two companies competing within Japan and offering instruments under the Mosrite name, this model was likely designed to provide a direct contrast to the similarly spec'd Mosrite "Glamorous" model produced by rival Fillmore. KuroKumo-made Mosrites are sought after for their masterful build quality and attention to detail, and this Super Custom 65 replicates all the essential features of the '60s Ventures Model instruments. The pickup pair is wound to vintage spec, metering at 13.7k ohms in both pickup positions and offering plenty of round treble-centric authority, rich midrange growl and round low end bark.
