Description: Bronze medal from the Monnaie de Paris (Horn hallmark from 1880) minted in 1986. It’s made of Florentine bronze, measures 2 1/2 inches (68mm,) and weighs 8 ounces. Nice condition with great eye appeal and no dents or scapes. Comes with gold engraved presentation box and includes a plastic stand.The obverse shows The Statue Of Liberty in full profile flanked on either side by portraits of Gustave Eiffel and August Bartholdi. The engravers’ names: Luthringer / Lievain are placed near Liberty’s feet. It says; INDEPENDANCE des ETATS - UNIS 1776 and STATUE de LIBERTE 1876 - 1886. The reverse shows Liberty from behind surrounded by iconic buildings from the U.S.A. and France. It says: FONDATION EIFFEL and BARTHODI - 1986. The edge is marked: Cornucopia + br flor + 1986.
