The resin or hard plastic figure features Saint St. Francis of Assisi with two birds perched on each of his arms. St. Francis is depicted dressed in a long robe with tie, his head uplifted and arms spread as if in worship. The figure is highly detailed, with finely finished faciasl expressions, hands, feet, robe, birds, &tc.. The figure is marked on the base in raised letters with a hallmark and as follows: 259 ITALY © 1984 It is also stamped on the base with sculptor's name as follows: Simonetti The Original Fontanini by Roman Hang Tag remains attached to the figure with string.
