Bourne writes that many of these beautiful structures along the railway are missed by passengers due to the 'straightness of the railway'. The accompanying text illustrates the plates and point out general principles upon which railway communication is carried on, and their application to this railway.Printed by David and Charles reprints of Newton Abbot, who produced many transport facsimile works. Bumping to spine head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Chipping and loss to dust wrapper back strip head and tail. Significant closed tear to head of front wrap. Light spotting to rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with only the odd instance of minor spotting.
